Transfer Orientation

AAli4Real: are you saying that I should just go right when orientation starts? like 8 or whenever haha… I am already behind in my major as it is!.. blahh…

oh and how do we sign up for a FIG?

Your adviser will help you with that. They’ll either do it for you or give you a unique code to enter just like registering for a class.

Will it be too late to join a FIG even if I’m going to orientation during August?

Do figs get filled up easily?

Lol @ Xcellerator you had to have been one of the very few ppl there from A&M. They’re weren’t any in my group. I probably know both of them since I went to UTSA, but I actually had classes with J from Guyana/Pearland(houston?). J sat at the computer for like an hour & 30 minutes looking for classes. I felt sorry for her lol. She also was as busy as you. I had time to go eat and shop lol since so many UTSA ppl were there & I got the advantage of getting in line with them. That cut my ID time in half probably. It was still a pretty long wait though.

@thaisteak–I think they meant whenever they give you the survey form fill it out and turn it in and then you will be able to register for classes. Hopefully you will be advised earlier in the morning like me because your advising bar will not be lifted until your group has been advised. Some groups don’t get advised until 2 and 3pm so you may have to just tough it out.

btw, I was done with advising at 12. Turned in my form and got all bars removed before 12 as well and I still could not register until the 2pm time that they gave us(I tried at least 3 times). So most likely you will not be able to register until the set time they give you.

All the business figs were practically full by my regular orientation last year, which was end of June through the beginning of July. So, it’s hit and miss. I know plenty of people who joined figs and they had the last orientation, but they joined figs I did not qualify for. (Lots of business figs include calculus, and I had already completed that class, so I was unable to join.)

I wanted to get one, but I was unable to. It’s really great though, I know lots of people who really enjoyed it.

ohh… hopefully I’ll get one for pre-med  thanks whytwokay and longhornhopeful!

longhornhopeful7 - I think so too, my A&M roommate and his friend bailed out on me going to UT and decided to stay at A&M the last minute. -_- Everyone was like from UTSA 'cause everyone seemed to know each other lol. Your friend seemed pretty cool, and I think I saw her after I left the computer lab xD. And you’re lucky, I wanted to go shopping so bad! :(

@xcellerator lol that sucks! It did seem like everyone was from UTSA lol. J stayed after you?! Crazyness I was sitting right next to her for about an hr and then i left b/c i was done. She is pretty cool…hard to understand at times though and a little quirky ;p
