Currently I'm a freshman at the University Of Michigan-Dearborn and I just finished my second semester with 25 credits. My first semester I did alright and finished with a 3.36 and 9 credits, I then applied to Michigan State University (where i've always wanted to go but got rejected my senior year of high school) for the fall of 2012.

I finally heard back from MSU admissions and have to send in my second semester transcripts because I needed to finish some of their required classes. The main problem is I didn't do to well in my second semester finishing with a 2.75 (Had 2 jobs working 50 hours a week along with 5 extremely challenging classes which was a stupid decision on my part) and I am about to send my transcripts to MSU.

My question is should I scrap this years application and spend another year at UM-Dearborn to work my GPA back up to above a 3.0 and then apply for fall 2013? Or maybe I should spend one semester at UM-Dearborn and go the route of pushing my application for MSU to Spring 2013?

I'm just really confused, please help!
