Transfer Students for Fall 2009?

Where are you guys? x____x

I'm so pysched, but other than the admissions packet (best piece of mail EVER) and an e-mail from Dean K, I haven't gotten anything...No NetID, no nothing. Kind of worried because I have to be registering for classes soon!

Where are you guys? :D

hey! i got a big blue book that they give to freshman along with a letter with the net id/email info almost 2 weeks ago…maybe you should call them!

I got the bluebook only yesterday- I got in off the waitlist! lol
But didn’t get my id email info yet…:stuck_out_tongue:
& so I shouldn’t be concerned about the blue book & the bumper sticker saying class of 2013, right? lol Applied as a junior, assuming I got in as one…hehe

I’m more or less trying to decide between Duke and Dartmouth.

So far, the Dartmouth squad has been super on point. I’ve gotten like 3 or 4 full on packages, a ton of emails, instructions for ordering a laptop through them, health insurance packet, etc. They’ve been on the ball.

Duke hasn’t even processed my financial aid yet. So much bureaucracy for a private school!

Shouldn’t you have decided by now? 0_0

Normally, but Duke lost my application and requested I submit another one, so my whole timetable got pushed back.

Ah, I see. Did you already submit your deposit at Dartmouth?

congrats guys:)
i was actually wondering… does anyone happen to know the transfer acceptance rate / statistics for duke?
im interested in transferring for fall 2010.
ive looked on the website and tried to do an extensive search.
help please?
thanks

They picked fifty students this year, out of 700. That comes out to about 7%…not as bad as Stanford or Yale (which is like 2%,) but then again practically everyone applies to those schools as a far-reach, knowing they won’t get in. I think for Duke, people who can kind of see themselves getting in apply (thus the smaller number of applicants compared to Stanford and Yale).
