Transfer to Berkeley or UCLA Pre Reqs

HI

I wanna transfer to cal or UCLA; i was wondering does having pre reqs left for after fall 2011 negatively affect my chance for transferring into fall 2012. I'll have 2 pre reqs left for after fall 2011 please give me some insight thanks!!

While not necessarily negatively affecting you (depends on your major), it will certainly not help your chances.

I was asking in terms of getting in, will I be considered lower then someone who has done most of their pre reqs?

Yes pre reqs are important because they serve as a good measuring stick for how long you will take to graduate after transferring. Also, pre requisite courses show your readiness for upper division course work. How many pre reqs will you be missing? Classes taken in the quarters/semester after applying still count towards finishing up your pre reqs, that’s why they ask on the application what classes you’ll be taking after the fall.

most important factors of an application: GPA and Amount of Pre-Reqs completed.

:O I’m in the same boat. I’ll have 2 pre-reqs to finish in the winter/spring 2012 before applying for Biz/Econ w/ alternate Math/Econ. Is this bad??!

^ It’s okay as long as you finish by Spring

I have 2 pre reqs left for the spring too, plus i am thinking of applying to haas!?! I know Haas is the most competitive major, so in terms of that i was thinking that my chances would be worse off then someone who had already complete the pre reqs before applying? Is this true?

Hey mikey23s you sound just like me :)
