Transfer to Caly Poly SLO business school

I’m looking at a between a 3.5-3.7 when I would apply. I have work experience and I am part of my cc’s honors society. What would be the minimum gpa, I know the average for 14-15 gpa is 3.54. My intended concentration is accounting. The two schools i’m looking at are ucsb and SLO. How hard is it actually to get into Cal Poly? I would be applying next fall.

You’ve missed the application window for next fall (2015) at both schools - it closed 12/1.
SLO is more selective for tansfers than they are for freshman applicants. It’s probably harder to transfer into SLO than UCSB - here are the stats:

If you are in California, look into the UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program, you can use that to get you into UCSB with a 3.3-3.5 depending on major. There are caveats and requirements, You have to sign up in advance.

@NCalRent‌ I will be tagging ucsb but for cal poly would 3.7 be good enough? Also does the school only look at grades or does it look at extra circulars for transfers?

They look at other stuff too

Keep in mind that UCSB does not have an undergraduate business school like Cal Poly has with Ofalea. UCSB does have economics and accounting degree programs under college of Letters & Science. Cal Poly program much more comprehensive in full range of business curriculum. It is difficult to get into as a transfer—see statistics in Keys to the Kingdom pinned post.

My concentration would be accounting and I know that UCSB has a lot of recruitment there. Cal Poly has a very good accounting school and it too has lots of recruitment. I would be tagging UCSB but what would be the ideal stats for getting into Cal Poly?
Thank you @Dadfan‌ and @NCalRent‌ for the response
