Transfer to UVA

I'm a sophomore at Syracuse University. I would love to know what my chances are of getting into the University of Virginia. I have a 3.5 GPA, 24 on my ACT and was/am very involved with EC's. I heard it was easier to get in as a transfer and also heard that they don't really look at your standardized test scores... is this at all true? Any information about UVA would be much appreciated! By the way, I am out of state.

Your creds sound decent for UVA...not the strongest, but you're definently still mid-50%. but, you're out of state. being OOS sadly is what will hurt you. however, it might be different for transfers, not sure, but overall, UVA is still a state university and still is VA majority. what school are you applying to? im applying to E-school as a second-year (but im an in-state =/ biggest difference i guess)...any troubles with the application so far?

Sadly I haven't even begun the app since I'm transferring for next year. I'm planning to do it over Winter Break. Thanks for your comments, best of luck to you!

yeah i'm applying for next fall too, plan on doing it over winter break although i've thrown down some ideas for some of the essays already...i really want it to be may so i know =P what school are you applying to?

Arts & Sciences, I'm really interested in Media Studies. At Syracuse I am a Communications & Rhetorical Studies major, but I just don't like the school and the students. Are you applying any where else besides UVA?
