So I almost have my associates degree and preparing to apply right now, but when it says choose a school I don't know what to put for the first choice. Should I choose the General studies or Engineering? Right now I'm sitting at an unimpressive 3.1 GPA, I was wondering if the Engineering college had different prerequisite other than the assured admission.

UT Dallas transfer admission standards are not major dependent. If you are admitted the first choice school/major is what you will be admitted to at UT Dallas. The applytexas.org application lists a second choice, but it is not used by the UTD Admission and Enrollment Services office.
