Transferring with a F on the transcript

Hello, I am an international student currently studying at a community college at Texas.
I have recently applied for transfer for Texas A&M University as an Electrical Engineering major and have been accepted.
In the community college, I have worked hard for 3 semesters, and I could maintain a decent GPA.
However, this semester, after I got the letter from Texas A&M, I kinda became loose about my studies and am currently in a danger of failing a class.
The class is Beginning Spanish II, and I absolutely despise it. Not that I hate Spanish, I just hate learning new languages in general.
Recently, I heard that international students are not required to take foreign language courses for their graduation. After hearing this information, I went to admissions right after to drop my class, but I could not, for the drop date was already over.

Now, I am thinking about just not going to class and failing the class. A friend of mine told me that since I already have been accepted to a 4-year university, F grades will not affect the new GPA I will get in the new university. But he also told me that there would be a TF (Transfer F) grade remaining on my transcript.

How bad is having a TF grade on my transcript? Will it affect me in any way? Also, if anything I have stated above is not true, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

You may have your transfer admission rescinded based on that F.

Pull yourself together. Go meet with your instructor. Find out if there is any way at all to keep from getting an F.
