transfers? fall 09

I was accepted to uconn as a transfer for next fall as a sophomore. I'm waiting to hear back from American U and SUNY New Paltz which are higher on my list, but uconn is my state school and I feel it would be smarter to go there. Is anyone else transferring to uconn or have any opinions on where I should go?
I'm super confused, and unsure of where to go, I'm an international relations major and I just don't know what to do!

It all depends what you are looking for in a school. The 3 schools you listed are all very different. Have you visited any of them? My son just transferred to New Paltz last semester so I could answer questions about that school for you.

I have visited Uconn and New Paltz. I like New Paltz's location, campus and the size of the school. Im currently at a large state school and want a smaller school. I applied to uconn simply because it is my state school and the tuition is too good to pass up. I know they don't have an int. relations major which is what i want (i would have to minor in it) . American's int. relations dept is amazing but I really like the feel of New Paltz. I don't know a whole lot about their int. relations dept.

Did your son find it hard transferring into New Paltz? I'm worried because there is no on campus housing and I feel like it would be hard to find my place at the schoo.

Rachiee - I'm sending you a PM.
