good... that is if i get in... argh

if transfer center is still in class of '17, i don't recommend living there. it doesnt even have its own laundry room.

But the odds of getting something else decent for transfer students is very slim. Other than having no laundry room, what are some pros and cons?

How do they assign dorms for transfers? Is there something similar to the questions freshmen do?

Yep. You fill the survey, same as everyone else. And they do the rest.

Is this done after the incoming class? So transfers are basically at the bottom pile (at least for this year)?

Is there any way you can request a roommate? I have a good friend who is at Cornell right now and I would prefer to live with him...

-Eddie-

this waiting is killing me.... i want to go to cornell so bad.... grrrrr

don't think housing for pre-frosh and transfer relate at all since all freshmen live up north. well unless you're applying to program houses.

You have to make sure both of you write down each other's info on the housing app. THey will try to pair you two up then.

CNCL, like kittykatt sed, frosh and transfer don't relate. But in general, transfers do get last dibs at choosing because all the upperclassmen have already selected housing. That is why they encourage you to do it ASAP.

I'm really just trying to get this thread back in the front of the line... but has anyone received another decision yet? Seriously, this is driving me nuckin futs!

noripj, you seem new. Where are you applying?

hey all, I've been told that "the transfer competition is fierce... possibly fiercer than regular freshman admissions". How true do you feel that is?

Yeah, kind of new to the thread.... I've been watching it without saying too much. Oh, and I applied to CAS.

So far as this year being extremely "fierce," I have no idea. I sure hope not... 'cause my application would be torn to pieces :-(. I wonder if I could just pay off the admissions committee... or promise to become the next Wolfowitz (is that how you spell his name?). Anywho, it's nice to meet you all.

The line that says "Cornell has made a decision..." disappeared for me late last night (after 12, which was the last time I checked). I applied to CAS, but don't think I got in - I completely blew the academic interest questions (very short answers, not an essay. My actual essay was good, however.). :(

I guess I will have to wait until Mondary or Tuesday night for them to update it again.

My message disappeared last night too. I also applied to CAS (econ).

that msg STILL has not disappeared for me! i applied to cas too

I still have the Cornell has not yet made a decision message up. I applied to CAS. Ive been checking like a crazy person, but at least I get a break from my craziness since there are no updates on the weekend. I think I might not check again until next Friday. Haha. This board also makes me anxious. I wonder in what order they are reviewing the applications. In alphabetical order? In order that the applications became complete? Mix them all together and pick one to review? ;)

so weird...cas is not supposed to be rolling yet its faster than cals
