Transfers

cas is rolling

CALS is so freakin' slow... argh... i really hope the decisions are out (or at least my decision) is out early next week since i have to figure out my housing for next semester if i stay at my current school... on thursday! ahhhhhh.... craziness.... ;)

josiedog33,

So far as I know, if you have to accept admissions elsewhere, or make a decision about housing (or anything else of immediate importance) by a certain date, Cornell Admissions will allow you to call and ask for your decision as soon as possible. I've heard of them rushing certain applications out of necessity. It's worth a try :-).

yeah, but i don't want to screw up my chances... you know... if they rush it.

just moving this back up to the top so ppl won't forget about it. lol. ;)

So....anyone know anything about registering for classes? I know the package said you could do it around the orientation, but that's like...a couple days before class. And then I think I heard you could do it sooner somehow...? Idk, if anyone has any ideas on that, let me know.

Who's sent in their housing/etc stuff?

good luck to cals ppl... maybe some of us will hear tomorrow... or in the next few days

I will send my housing and stuff in a few days. I'm going to do it online, thats the best and safest way to go.

Housing selection won't start till 5/1 for freshmen.

For trasnfers, the due date for housing is around July. But I think I'm going to do it earlier since I want to get a spot in the transfer center, preferrably a single.

i doubt transfers will get single

I'm single :-D

i meant a single room

Question for everyone who has had the message disappear and has also received a decision. Did you receive your decision the next day?

Curious because mine disappeared between Friday night/Saturday morning, so I'm wondering if that means my decision will be posted late tonight.

I noticed that mine disappeared on a thursday morning (don't remember if I checked it the previous night, but definitely the previous afternoon) and decision was posted that very thursday night (12.28am). (CAS)

i wish my message would disappear...:D

They update every night (Mon - Fri) at about midnight. You should probably have your decision by tonight at around this time.

-Eddie-

kittykatt,
I knew what you meant... I was just being facetious

Hmm...how many singles does the TRansfer Center hold...ahh I really want one.

Thanks to those who replied to my question.

toph, what college did you apply to?

CAS for Econ... I'm an Ithaca College student. Haha... but I'm not dumb. ;) I came because I loved their journalism program. But I've realized journalism isn't for me, and Ithaca's main programs are communications, physical therapy, and music. Another one of the reasons I came here was because I wanted to swim. Then I didn't even do that because of the tv and radio ECs.

But anyways, I received my rejection decision from Cornell online tonight. Not that upset though because it wasn't my top choice, especially since I kind of wanted to get out of Ithaca. I think I'm more disappointed because this is the first time I've ever been rejected by a college. Although I was expecting to get some rejections when I applied to transfer, so I don't know. Just have to walk it off, I guess. :)

Good news is that I've been accepted by UNC (econ then applying to business), NYU (econ), and WUSTL (business) thus far. WUSTL is on condition (I need to keep at least a B in my calc II course... as of now I have a B+). Still waiting to hear from UVA, Penn, and Michigan.
