Tulane EA 2025 Decisions

My son was accepted, Honors college 21k per year in merit scholarship. He also wrote an essay for service scholarship. He is OOS , 33 ACT, I don’t think Tulane super score 34 if so. 4.43 GPA at competitive private school that limits 5 PT classes. 11 APs with mostly 4’s for tests he’s taken. Lots of community service and volunteer hours at his school. Demonstrated interest, toured last Thanksgiving and watched a few webinars. Good luck to everyone and on deferrals I hope you get in.

Im In!!!
Out of state
3.7 weighted (like 3.4/3.5 unweighted idk)
1430 stats
No leadership but 30hr week waitressing and am a part of a few clubs.
So excited!
Does anyone know if there is a way to apply for honors if it wasn’t in our letter?

Full-ride shown in the letter? Full-ride means school covers everything (tuition, dorm, board, book, fees) and you pay $0.

If you’re deferred but some people decline their spots, will Tulane accept more people? Or is deferral it?

No, I think only applicants in the waiting list will be accepted for this case.

I was accepted with 16k/ year merit scholarship OOS !
4.6 Weighted GPA, 33 ACT, 10 total AP classes (including 3 this year)
Strong Why Tulane Essay, Demonstrated Interest(completed admissions interview and several virtual events)
Strong ECs, President of Music Honors Society, NHS Member, AP Scholar w/ Distinction
feel free to ask me other questions ab stats !

Accepted from OOS with $22k/year and honors program!
ACT: 32 composite
GPA: 3.96 UW, 4.35 W
Class Rank: Top 5%

Date Applied: 10/31
Date Received: 12/17

ECs weren’t special but had many leadership roles, plus they were mostly related to my violin playing and my desired major. I submitted a supplemental portfolio of some of my artwork. I had a strong essay, but the Why Tulane essay could’ve been better. I also had a lot of demonstrated interest. I never visited campus, but I attended a lot of virtual events, and applied for the Dean’s Honor Scholarship.

Hope this helps, and best of luck to everyone deferred

Probably ED II if financial aid isn’t a concern

ED II will give you a higher chance of being admitted but if you’re worried about financial aid then stick to regular decision. Most of Tulane’s class comes from ED and EA applicants. Hope this helps! good luck

D21 deferred OOS
3.83W GPA
1430 SAT
HS doesn’t rank
8 APS
Strong ECs
Job since 9th grade
Loads of virtual events, toured campus, Interview went great, wrote Why Tulane with a lot of specific details

This admissions season seems so random! Anyone know what else she can do to help increase her chances of acceptance RD? Unfortunately EDII is not an option for us. Congrats to all accepted and good luck to those deferred

Can anyone get a full-ride promise at this stage of admission?

My daughter got accepted…honors and $19K per year
OOS/3.98UW, 4.8W
10+ APs
Lots of great ECs including college-level research for 5 years
4 year-2 sport athlete
Lots of DI, interview and I am an alumnae!
She would have considered ED but we can’t afford it without the merit.
Very excited. But I am sorry about all of the deferrals. I know lots of kids who got accepted last year who were initially deferred. If funding is not an issue , EDII is a great option.

And SATs 1450
4s and 5s on 7 AP exams

Were you right? I hope not

SAT: 1580
GPA: 4.42 weighted 4.0 unweighted
National Merit Semifinalist
8 AP, 7 IB and 1 Dual Enrollment
only 4s and 5s on 6 AP exams so far
Solid extracurriculars, lots of leadership and community service, IMO great writing and optional essay.
Applied EA, deferred. Does anyone have advice?
Also applied to Paul Tulane Award.

I’m thinking that they don’t really think I want to go. What would be the best way to let them know that I am interested?

What about if you make over 75k a year but can’t afford to pay tuition of 75k a year . I wish there was a sliding scale for families that make under 150k or 200k

D21 accepted. No merit aid. It’s welcome news after a rejection from her ED1 school. Good stats. No hooks. The one thing that might have tipped the balance is coming from an underrepresented state.
