@msmnola77 I’m applying ED too! I still haven’t submitted my app yet (LOL) and I don’t live quite as close as you do to NOLA though. Any acceptance (fingers crossed) will probably take a little bit, but hopefully they look at ED apps before EA ones. Did you do the interview?
wow congrats @msmnola77 that’s fantastic! what day did you apply and what day were all your materials received if you dont mind me asking
Congrats!!!
Congrats!!!
@msmnola77 So does that mean that you did not get any sort of notification on your portal? Also, was it a big package or did it look to be a small letter?
@msmnola77 congrats msm!! tulane will be rad

Thank you for letting us know @greeny8. This is incredibly sad news.
Fallen Chemist was such an incredibly knowledgeable source of information and zealous advocate and Defender of Tulane. He was an institutional memory and devoted so much of his time and attention on College Confidential to help students and parents learn about Tulane and answer any type of academic, scholarship and NOLA questions. He was also a no-nonsense moderator on College Confidential and did a fabulous job. His presence will be sorely missed.
So very sad to hear. Condolences to his daughter, a Tulane grad, his son and his wife.
If Fallen Chemist were here now he would ask us to stay on topic and not digress, even if we are digressing in honor of his wonderful memory and legacy here on College Confidential (CC). Or else he’d threaten to remove these off track posts! lol. So in his memory I will get back to the EA decision thread (and note that Tulane Admissions Director created a separate thread for eulogizing Fallen Chemist on CC).
EA decisions have started being sent by regular mail. My daughter just received her letter of acceptance in today’s mail and is so happy. The acceptance letter includes scholarship information!
So sad to hear about Fallen Chemist. His insights into Tulane and the application process as a whole were a great service to me and many others. In a sad twist of irony, I got accepted to Tulane today.

Just talked with the admissions office. They send out a letter a couple days before it is released online. Decisions are released online every night at 7PM Central Time so you could hear back via mail before that or on the portal, depending on your location. They do it at 7PM so students aren’t checking their phones 24/7 during class, etc.

I just wanted to report that today I was accepted to the Tulane Class of 2021 and was given a nice merit based scholarship. I had a 3.7 GPA (W), 34 ACT, and have taken 7 APs (max was 8 or 9). Hope this helps some of you!
@HenryNimey17 Can you tell us the scholarship amount? Hopefully, someone will keep track of the stats like last year. It was very helpful.
