I suppose so, but it dawned on me that some folks filled out their applications nearly 6 months ago. It is a shame that the whole process takes this long and the university refuses to notify everyone at the same time.
that’s shame, no college in the country do the same as UT Austin. Long and unpredictable waiting for admission and for honor.

It’s truly an embarrassment that UT Austin is treating people this way. I have such fond memories of UT and I can’t reconcile them with the posts I have read on this thread. I hope that someone from UT admissions or the Turing program read this thread. Great programs don’t treat people this way. Very strange.

It has left a bad taste in my son’s mouth. He has already decided to weigh other options if Turing doesn’t happen.

Turing definitely makes or break UT for me as well. CS alone is a great program but the lack of transparency makes me iffy over all. I love the school so much so it’s really sad how this process went for us all.

Why Turing is so good? Does it offer difference classes or just a smaller class size?
I wonder if there are any regular CS admissions today.
He was admitted to UIUC last week, and there are so many other decisions he’s waiting on. There is something to be said for the way one is treated through this process, and sometimes even cheaper tuition and being in state can’t fix a situation when one is treated poorly.
