I'll check it out, is it like a better written/story?
better concept?
same concept? but better?

I just wikipedia it, sounds interesting, kinda like Cat's Cradle.

Lets just say I hate Stephanie Meyer for related her books to Muse.

Her books are s h i te and Muse is way too good to be related to her s h i te. :(

let's revive this thread!

REBORN!

I started reading the books a few years ago, when the second book had just been published. I loved the books... they were addicting. (And I'm proud to say I started to read them before the "craze" hit where I live. ;D) I still re-read them sometimes! But I'm not... obsessed. I just like re-reading them - just as I like to re-read The Picture of Dorian Gray, or various historical fiction - seeing what I've missed, thinking about the characters in a different way... It's what reading should be! I either read for school, read for my more philosophical, "deep thinking" tastes, or just for fun. I like to be absorbed in books (each book can easily be read in a full day, even though they are from 600 to 800 and beyond pages)!

So, I love the books. I recommend people to read them before they claim "sparkling vampires suck" because they aren't "real vampires" (a bit contradicting there, mate?) If you read the first book, and hate it, go ahead and burn it, but I look down upon people who jump on the anti-Twilight bandwagon just as much as I dislike the "omg bite me rpattz/marri me plz" bandwagon. ;D

Books: Pretty good story, plot, characters. Not excellent literature, but a good read.
Movie: A bit disappointing, personally, but entertaining (I've pre-ordered the dvd). Read before watching! Please!
Muse: Freaking amazing. Fyi: The idea of the story "came" to the author in a dream. This may or may not have been inspired by music, but as far as I can tell the music came... after the writing? Or maybe during. Not sure.

And I believe the OP mentioned he was a guy. Maybe check out Twilight Guy (website/blog/thing)? :)

amazing

yes, twilight guy, checking it out

this is so me right now!

love twilight guy, he's cool

cant stand kristen stewart even more if anyone reads perez they would know why. this is part of the post about kristen

The Twilight star has contemplated the effect of her departure from the movie series, bragging, "It would be so easy for me to send so many hundreds of girls into such a frenzy by saying I want no part of any future [Twilight] movies."

ha the girls would be overjoyed that you freaking left the movie

I think there'll be a nation-wide casting

i hope she leaves! it would be amazing

most of the muse fans I know hate twilight.. Just because music is good doesn't mean a book somewhat inspired by the music will be half decent. EY YO GUYZ IMMA RIGHT ME A BOOK INSPIRED BY STRAVINSKY, MAYB ILL GET A MOVIE DEALL.

^
hahahaha

have u seen Across the universe?
that was sorta inspired by beatles music

in fact, the characters, tunes, and plots are very "beatle-like"

it was a good flick though

anyone think it can potentially get an oscar/golden globe?

Nooo way it's in the realm of oscars (Twilight, at least). The following books might get better, but idk.

And yeah, Across the Universe was basically a tribute to the Beatles. :] Even more than just inspired by the music.

I love Twilight. I started reading the books right before the second one came out and way before anyone where I live had heard of it. I was hooked from the start. As soon as I finished the fist book I knew that they would make a movie out of it. I was disapointed(sp) by the movie but I will still go watch the next one.

Haha I read the books right before new moon came out as well :D
I liked it then, and even though her writing style is terrible, her idea was good.
However I believe she ruined it with all the other novels. aAso the "craze" made me hate them even more.
What makes me mad is when girls scream "ITS THE BEST BOOK IVE EVER READ!"
Actually, it's the ONLY book they've ever read. Because if they've read other books, they would realize that its NOT that great.
Yeah, you fall for edward in the beggining but eventually you'll get over it.

And I'm also proud to say I loved Muse BEFORE Twilight, but that's what generally happens with most of my music ;)

^

I was a Muse fan forever ago (6 years ago) when they barely were done with OOS touring and were about to launch Absolution.

What really disappointed me is that Stephenie Mayer said "I love muse so much" and yet when the movie was produced Matt Bellamy got DENIED the right to compose some music!

*** man!

"Yeah, you fall for edward in the beggining but eventually you'll get over it."

...i never got over it.
lol. i HAVE, however, regained my sanity :p

& on that side note, my guy friend is a HUGE beatles fan & despises the movie. one time i said something like blah blah "across the universe songs"...and he was like "NO. THEY ARE BEATLES SONGS." [which i obviously know, lol.]
so, yeah. i don't think most people who are fans of the music like to see any form of it...not in music. that doesn't even make sense, but u all know what i mean :)

haha, im not quite as old as you (4 years) but still longer than a month right?
but theyre not my favourite (oasis fan ;))
REALLY?
he got denied? wow, i didnt know that !
yeah im not gonna lie, that sounds like a load of **** !
