Can you chance me? Haha, thank you, obviously for NYU Stern. See its basically either Stern or Haas, and I would much rather go to Stern. NYC>Berk. Stern is my dream school, but I am not even sure if its worth applying.

i say you're fine except for your sat scores. most of the people I know that got in with sub 2000 scores had more going for them than you.

in terms of vocab and knowledge, you should at least have a basic understanding of what you read in in the wsj, economist, .etc. the teachers sometimes expect students to know stuff just because they're business students, but if you ask, they'll be more than willing to explain. for example, in my micro class, no one, among the 3-5 students who are willing to participate, knew what a markup was. after some confusion, the teacher explained.

So you would advise to start reading the wall street journal and the economist as a high school senior? I definitely will, if thats what your talking about, I am jsut hoping I can understand the articles.

There is no requirement for vocabulary and specific business knowledge. They want to see well-rounded, high achieving high school students.

hssenior, its not exactly what I meant.
I meant like, if you go to nyu, and your first class is like your freshmen year is like , principles of management or some class, if they expect you to already know certain concepts/ideas/vocab/history of business.

no they dont expect you to know anything. thats what the introductory clases are for. of course, the kids who do already have some background or knowledge will probably have it a little easier, most of the kids will not know anythin.

anorexic:

They do expect you to like be able to ask a coherent question like some basic english skills like
