I got some email about it and I received a letter about an info session. What is it? Did everyone get the letter in the email? Are they two different things?

My son got the e-mail, but not the letter. We have signed-up, but not really sure what it is all about.

My son received the letter, not the email. It says it’s an information session to learn about their programs, etc. We have signed up for the Southern CA session.

My D and I went two years ago at Cal. It was a panel of people presenting info to a relatively (for a UC) small group. It broke out for smaller sessions, but we went to see Alvin Ailey instead. That was what it took to get her to go.

Shrinkrap, did you have any feeling that the students were there were being specially considered for admission or anything? I doubt it but just wondered.

to momofmv…

Did you sign up for the Norcal session? If so, can you give me the info for today - time, etc.? Thanks…

how was this?

For reference for future applicants - for those who received this email, what was your admissions outcome?

I, for one, received this email (as a female applying to the forestry program) and was accepted.

My D got in too.

I’m actually attending UC Berkeley currently, so I got in also.

Bump

My daughter received an email today. Has anyone else received the email?

Yes, I received it as well. 4.46 W GPA, 2040 SAT, 31 ACT, 770 Math 2 subject test … i applied as a math major in L&S.
was this email sent to everyone or only some??

I got it too… I have about the same stats as you Lexapro, but a lower GPA. anyone who got that email before but didn’t get in Cal?

^^ ding dong what major did you apply as? And also, i think i saw in the Berkeley Supplemental Questionnaire thread that you received the supplement? What were your stats, just curious?

Where is the Southern California event being held? I was unclear if it is also held at UC Berkeley.

I have a 2030 SAT single setting, 740 SAT math 2, 4.4 GPA junior year and 3.7 sophomore year at a different school (which is probably why I got the supplement). I applied for the nutrition science major, and I used to go to a school with people who rarely get higher than 1900, so I hope that helps.

Lexapro, did you get a supplement too?

No i didn’t receive one, but i considered my SAT borderline. what did the supplement ask for, just wondering? Ohh i see, are you in state or out of state? good luck!

I got this email too. I don’t think it really means anything though.

The funny thing about it is that it says, “Admission decisions for Berkeley will be posted online after March 25th by the UC Berkeley Office of Admissions.” when myBerkeleyApplication says, “Decisions will be available the evening of March 29, 2012”

Ahh, so confusing. ):

Well, March 29th is also “after March 25th”, thus these are not conflicting statements (logically).

True, true. Gah, I think the wait for decisions is causing me to become anxious.
