U.S senate page?

do I need connections to get in because I’ve heard they help

yes connections do help!

I do not have any connections to a senator, but when I went to DC to lobby for a nomination, I was able to speak to the director of operations at my senator’s office.

The best alternative to get a connection isto call the DC office for any senator. If you call a senator that is not in your state, do ask say if he/she will nominate someone that is out of their state.

Even if I did call wouldn’t they just refer me back to the website?

No not essentially. Some will because it is publicized on the senator’s website, but some don’t even mention it at all on their website.

Ok so if it is mentioned on the website should I call anyway?

Which Senator @touringyourmind?

Call the senators and see where you get.

McConnell @il0510

McConnell @il0510

Anyone know if Maryland is sponsoring pages this summer? I submitted my page application but I’m not sure if my senator is even nominating a page, and if I should apply to other senators just in case…

@ybmtl4 Do you have an email because I have soooo many questions and I would like to learn more to increase my chances to become a senate page… It means a lot to me…

Hi, I live in Wisconsin and I am just curious about what my chances are of getting in. I checked and Tammy Baldwin gets to sponsor someone in the fall next year, which is my junior year.

I have a 3.8 GPA, I’m a legislative intern for a state senator, have put in over 200+ hours working for a senatorial campaign(he lost though  ),I am in 3 sports(Cross Country, Ski Racing, Tennis), and am in Model UN, Student Council, Jazz, Student Voice(Social Justice Group), Current Events Club, and a youth grant organization that gives out grants to charities(outside of school/through United Way), oh and I was elected president in my schools mock US government.

I was just hoping someone could help me see what my chances of getting in are, and if it’s as tough as an application process as they say it is.

Also side note, how exactly could it ruin your GPA?

Thanks
