UC and CSU Parents Acceptance question(s)

A question for parents of UC and CSU transfer students. My S applied to three UCs and two CSUs. Both CSU acceptances did not include any information on financials, that he would have to SIR first. That creates an issue as the last UC acceptance he may get is one day prior to the CSU deadline. So, we have literally less than 24 hours to make a decision.

Have any other parents seen this same? IF you have received a UC and/or a CSU
acceptance, is the financial aid package/fees included? OR do you also see that you have to SIR to get that info?

Run the Net price calculator for each school for a pretty reliable Estimate of your costs. Check to make sure it is for the most current year. NPC’s may not be reliable if divorced or own your own business

UCs and CSUs use FAFSA only, so the issues with unreliability with divorced parents and other things that CSS Profile digs around in should not be a problem with their NPCs.

However, since CSUs moved away from the CSU Mentor platform, most now use a lower quality NPC template that gives only rough estimates.
