UC APP; mistake in gross household income. Should I call?

Hi, I realized I made a mistake on the app where I put $75k for the yearly income, when I found outt it’s almost double the amount I put on the application.
Initially, I asked my mom who said it was 75k, and I was eligible for a fee waiver, which I found peculiar. I brought it up during dinner and my dad said it was way more than 75k.
I’ve been reading posts where people say the mistake on the household income is not that big of an issue and is a waste of time to change, but I feel very worried that it might deny my application process.

Besides, this mistake is pretty huge imo, considering the gap between the amount i put and the amount it really is.
What should I do? Should I call them and ask to change the income? Because I feel like when i fill out my FAFSA, they’ll cross check and find out that i’m lying. Or should I just keep it the way it is…
Please help!! :(

Give them a call.

@yikesyikesyikes what’s the likelihood of getting caught if i leave it alone? cause calling them takes like 2 hours…

Email and call. Don’t play dangerous games.

I do not know, but I wouldn’t risk it- especially if you seriously intend on attending a UC (if you get admitted, I highly doubt you would be rescinded, but it is usually best to be careful in such things).

Thank you, I emailed them. I will call in a couple of days if i do not get a response.
