UC Berkeley 2017 Transfer Thread

@doihaveashot2016 You should make your Cal Central account already! To make it just go to the cal central website, then it gives you the option to log in with your map info and you are able to see everything that you need to do. Plus, there should be a bunch of notifications on there which would be helpful for you to read.

@Aerolyze @kors03 @champagnemami omg, I thought I was the only one with that problem. I am going to be calling tomorrow since it is really bothering me and I want to see my financial aid already. I hope that didn’t mess things up for us :frowning:

Is anyone going to the Chancellor’s welcome next Saturday?

@bigvoot All I see on my admission contract is " Your admission to UC Berkeley DOES NOT guarantee admission to the major of your choice. It is important that you check with the department of your intended major immediately to be certain that you are on track to declare your major."

What if you SIRed and went and they tell you that you can’t get into your intended major lol?

@ssnewman Same thing on my admission contract as well. But I’m assuming as long as you completed your courses listed on the assist org for the major you want I think you should be able to get into your intended major.

But yea that would suck if that happened XD. ( ゚ヮ゚)

@lovelyyliz If you do end up contacting them, please let us know here what they say!

@Twenmi I applied as EECS for Cal just because their “vanilla” com sci major is in BA. Im missing half of their required classes tho… since my roadmap in college is planned for UCLA. Im finishing up my last physics class in the series right now (last prereq for LA).

@lovelyyliz I’m probably going to the chancellors’ welcome. Are you going to planning on going to bridges?

I don’t think I’ll be able to make transfer weekend. Is there anyone here in the SoCal Area (Inland Empire) that would be interested in taking a road trip up to Bay area to see the campus this month?

when is transfer weekend?

I’m hoping they have a cal day for transfers

Did everyone get email about CAA alumni scholarship thing??
Does anyone know about what percentage of students get it??

@calyoooo I believe for each one (there’s 3 different scholarships) they award it to 7 transfer students. So only 21 transfers.

@itsromeosuckaa I go to Chaffey College and live 10 minutes away in Rancho Cucamonga, just got in for econ. I probably going to go toward the mid-end of May.

Does anyone know if there is a transfer weekend ? I know for UCLA it’s this 5/13

Hey I had a quick question about the documents we need to send in for admitted students, it says Full IGETC certification, on my application I said that I was certified, but I didn’t know I had to fill out documents to actually get certified. But I do fulfill all requirements to get certified and I will get certified soon, Will this affect my admission if I accidentally said I was certified before I actually was? Please let me know, ty.
