They came out on the portal last Friday.
Where actually on the portal is it? @ProfessorPlum168
I don’t see anything
Hi, Is there anyone familiar with the Regent Scholarship things at Berkeley? I got an email from Davis about the scholarship. But I’m wondering if Berkeley has a similar one. If so, when would they send out the invitation to apply and when would they award it? Thanks in advance!
@Emmanual7 my daughter also received the Regents email from Davis. Looking at previous years threads it seems Berkeley doesn’t invite you to apply for Regents like Davis. Not sure about UCLA.
bump
I also got one from Davis! I wonder if other UCs will send similar e-mails.
@Emmanuel7 @sugarcane1 @90smix I also received the Davis Regents application today. Berkeley will send Regents award notifications to transfer students in May with no additional application process. UCLA sends candidates an email to apply sometime in March. Every other UC school factors it in with the regular application process. I think they include it with your financial aid award letter.
Davis is the only one that invites. The remaining you either get it or you don’t. Usually with acceptance or shortly after. Berkeley’s is a week or two after acceptance; same with UCLA last year.
UCLA stopped the invite last year so I assume it has been discontinued. But maybe not.
Did anyone get the regents scholarship email from UCB yet? I got one from UC Davis so far and really hoping to get one from cal. Does it usually only come through email or can it come in the mail as well?
Ah, I didn’t know UCLA stopped invites last year. I guess it’s like Berkeley now and they just send it after you’ve been accepted?
@vegastransfer I’m assuming, but it may simply have been they got backlogged, although that’s kind of a stretch. It was always weird because you could get invited to apply and then not get admitted to UCLA. They were operating separately from each other. Admissions and alumni office. This is so much more civilized.
And yes, the notice came after acceptance.
@vegastransfer I also received the email from Davis. I checked out Berkeley and they said that transfer students are automatically considered if they apply and it’s either you get it or you don’t.
Applied for Fall 2019 as a Political Science Major
GPA: 3.63
Major: Political Science
Work: I work at the Community College I currently attend, I have been working at the school for two years.
EC:
- Started a club on campus and am the president of the club
- Made a Housing Resource handbook and have done two housing workshops at my community college to help students in need of stable housing. I had a few people from surrounding cities who specialize in low income housing to share their resources with the students.
Other:
- I am a single mom to two young children.
- I applied for financial aid.
- I was apart of the SPMP program during the Fall 2018 semester (was able to have someone from admissions look over and edit my PIQ responses before submitting)
- I am considered very low income (currently apart of CalWORKs)
Thank you in advance for any thoughts/opinions!
Can anyone answer my question plz
So there has been a change to my spring schedule as opposed to the one I had initially put on my tau.
I dropped one of the “recommended” courses before the refund deadline(Well I was on the waitlist & didn’t get in).
In this case, do I just log on to the UC app and re-submit the tau or do I email the schools first? Confused
@vousmeuerz I sent an email to UCLA after I received my winter grades. I kinda asked the same thing, and they said: “Please update this information via the TAU”
Thanks!

Is it a normal thing to get an email from a UC asking to send your unofficial college transcript? I know they generally ask after you have been admitted but Davis asked me to send mine. I asked a few of my other friends that also TAGGED to Davis but they didn’t get one.
@toronto99 who was the email from? was it from Davis or the UC center?
