@Ljforyou how many u got brother
@DUZK1999 where do u see that? Your UC portal? Or each school’s portal?
UCB portal homepage
@DUZK1999 All of them are one or two addresses only- mailing and permanent.
@DUZK1999 for Berkeley I got 1 for mailing and 1 for permanent. Why is that?
Hey guys whats up? I’m applying to UCB as well for a junior transfer in fall 2019 from the University of Toronto for Computer Science. My GPA is 4.0, released multiple games on the Play Store, Pearson Scholar, established author, and have launched a startup. What are my chances?
@Ljforyou the difference between people no of address is a myth, literally no indication of anything but still just wired for different ppl to have different amount to begin with
@DUZK1999 if I do get accepted i hope I remember you so I can call you an oracle or a god.
@akwong15 I have seen your posts from last years thread. I took an interest because my daughter is a Sociology major as well with a 4.0 at a Norcal cc. I remember seeing. you get into both Cal and Ucla correct? But received regents at UCLA so went there. Can you elaborate on how you found your first year there so far in terms of the difficulty of getting the classes needed and did you find them super difficult compared to community college etc. Are you dissatisfied with Sociology as a major? Did you do on campus housing or off etc. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi guys, I’m more interested in this “4 address” myth.
I used to have 2 address back in November, but it changed to 4 addresses in January and remained for a month.
Now it is 2 addresses again.
Can anyone assess chance to UCB with my stats?
Major: Political Science
CCC Transfer: Chabot
UC GPA: 3.94
Major GPA: 3.89 (I got 1 B from political theory class last year)
IGETC: Complete by the end of this Spring (currently I completed 59-semester units).
Prereqs: Still taking 1C from English and Math
EC/Work Experience: Law firm clerk for a year, an Accounting clerk in a marketing firm for 3 years.
Volunteer: almost 4 years in the church in homeless ministry, and Sunday school teacher, 2 years of an after-school tutoring program for ESL students in local junior high school
Strengths: experience. (I proved it on my essays, and I believe more experience than a typical college junior)
Weakness: Math. I already have B on non-transferable math class, and I’ll probably get a B from Stats this semester. I have some gap years between high school and college, and I think my explanation was inadequate. (Although they asked me to provide a separate explanation back in January).
Ethnicity: Asian-American
Gender: male
Income: 60k,
Hooks: 30 years old non-traditional student, a first-generation immigrant
Schools (in order of preference): UCB, UCLA, USC, UVA, UNC
Oh, by the way, I was invited to apply for UCD’s regent scholarship back at the end of January and filed it a couple of weeks ago.
Sup everyone!
Super late on posting this but we got a little over a month to hear back.
CCC: De Anza college
Major: Pre-Sociology
Pre reqs: completed
GPA: 3.9
IGETC: completed
EC: Collegiate soccer for 2 years, scholar athlete of the year, psychology club, intern at a law firm, very little volunteering and lots of work.
Goodluck to everyone ?? Keep ur minds busy
@sugarcane1 what did they ask for
In January?
They gave me a new link to write a short answer to explain my gap between high school and college.
@Riotseason I got that email too. I thought it was normal to not go to school the summer before you start college… It kind of put me on edge. What are you going to put?
Did anyone else get this email?
Was it Berkeley or the UC center?
It was UC center like TAP.
I said I’m not going to attend summer school. I didn’t say I was planning to attend when I was filing my TAP on November, and I don’t see the point anyway.
@Ohm888 Hello, Just wanted to know my chances of getting into Econ major?

Work Experience:

Real Estate Appraisal Internship (non Paid) 5 months
Major weakness: Received a C in Calculus 1, otherwise have all A’s and one B.
Applying also to UCLA, UCSB(TAG), UCI, UCSD, USC
Looks good but I’m not admissions so there are always possible variables.
Does anyone know if AP credits are counted towards your total college unit count? This is because without AP I will only be able to complete 59 units by the end of this Spring and UC requires junior transfer to have at least 60 units.
