Congrats to everyone who got in and best of luck to anyone who didn’t. It isn’t the end of the world. I got rejected by UC Riverside which I thought was going to be a breeze to get into and still had a smile on my face. It’s about grades, charisma, proper communicative skills and performance for careers anyways, school being somewhat relevant.
Question: I was told by friends you need 3 years of language for UCB but on Assist.org it said IGETC would suffice, which is 2 years. Which is true? Thanks in advance!
Thx @hoppy1! She was all set with Davis, which she likes and had TAG’d. This Berkeley one was mainly for validation. But once it came in, it was so emotional for the whole family.

All pre reqs and GEs were completed except for two Astro courses that I think are only offered at Berkeley.
Somewhat surprised as in my essays I wrote about preferring to return to SoCal due to family reasons.
Congrats to everybody who got in and best of luck for future admissions to everyone who got waitlisted/denied!
It looks like despite being accepted they offered me $0 in aid. Could this be a mix up? I’m pretty low income, UCSB offered me $18k in scholarships. So confused right now

Still waiting on UCLA which is my first choice! Much more impacted though so I’m worried I won’t get in! Very happy to have Berkeley though ???
Congrats to other admittees. And to those who got rejected, I’ve been there, I believe in you and I promise you will bounce back and end up at the school you belong in! I know it still sucks, sending you all my love!
hi guys so for those admitted for the spring 2020 (as did i) this is what cal admissions twitter said:
“Your deferred admission (spring) is not a remark on your academic or personal performance but rather a reflection of the size & rigor of our applicant pool. Spring & fall admits are different in only enrollment start date & not in benefits, status or potential”
