@misseskite wow that is an amazing story. Thank you for sharing that and you seem like such a strong person! Berkeley made a very right decision in letting you in! I really hope you get an amazing experience there. I believe they look at the UC gpa a lot more than the overall one so that is good that that one was higher. I thought your major GPA was a 3.8 and your overall gpa was a 3.6 that is why I thought ours was similar. 
I am a non trad as well so I get your story. Congratulations again!
