Also worried about the FASFA. I added Berkeley to the schools list 2 days ago (I didn’t originally have it listed because I thought I had a zero percent chance of getting accepted) Hopefully Berkeley gets my FASFA before June and I get an updated Financial Aid Reward because I nearly passed out when later on that night after being soooo happy of my acceptance noticing that I got $0 in any type of help.
@90smix I imagine you can put the W the same place you put your schedule changes.

@cloud7 well it’s not like they can force me out right?
@Jose1996 Everyone in L&S gets accepted to L&S and you declare your major during your first semester.

@transferrrrrrcc I don’t know much about CoC (I was in CoE). I would contact someone in your department about it.
@transferrrrrrcc PoliSci and Chem Engineering are in different schools, not even sure how that would work wrt to getting a minor. Double major I know won’t work, you’d have to get simulataneous degrees which you probably wouldn’t have enough time to finish. The general rule for transfers is you get 4 semesters at Berkeley to graduate, 5 for double major. Doesn’t include summers so you can stretch things out in the summers. But if the expectations are that it will take 2.5 years to graduate for your Engineering major, they probably have exceptions to the rule.
@churritosca The option for “residence halls 19-20 Academic Year” will include the apartments.
anyone going to transfer day on May 4? I’m trying to figure out if there are any cheap accommodations around campus. Is the schedule of transfer day released yet?
I just got an email from Cal Alumni Assoication asking me to apply for scholarships for transfer students. Is this them telling me I am likely to get it or do they just send it to everyone???
@anthro101 I think everyone gets it? I got one too
@anthro101 I think everyone that gets accepted receives that email? I’m not sure but the achievement award program looks really cool!
was anyone who was accepted and SIR’d able to get their CalNet yet? mine says the page is forbidden when I try to create it.
@ProfessorPlum168 thank you so much, I was a bit confused when I only saw those options. @bearbeary I am also having the same issue I already SIR’d but I still haven’t been able to get in CalNet yet. However, it does say that there’s 24 hour waiting period to access the CalNet ID creation page.
I got accepted and UC Berkeley sounds so enticing and has been my dream school, but as I go on other threads and other places online people seem to be weary of how sad people are while there. So many vids of people telling you not to go. Are people as worried as I am or am I unnecessarily worried? It makes me feel uneasy about Cal.
Does anyone know when we have to accept the financial aid package? When is the due date for that? Because there is an “accept” button on my financial aid package and I’m currently waiting for my UCLA decision as well
@vousmeuerz I dont know if there is a due date, but if I am correct, it should be the same as June 1.
I have a general question. How do you create a CalNet account? The website and direction seems a lot and confusing
Does anyone know if there is like a facebook group or another forum for transfers? I am just curious about looking for roommates as I don’t really want to try my luck with a random one.
does anyone know if having a 4.0 GPA is a requirement for Regents Scholarship? Myself and everyone that I met at UCLA with regents transferred with a 4.0. I have a 3.97 GPA in all my transferrable coursework (4.0 from CC courses and a 3.8 from summer and fall quarter at UCLA).
I received $13K in gift aid but I still need more financial help if I choose to attend Berkeley (and I really want to). My other option is to choose Davis and commute from home in Sac which is so much cheaper than paying for rent at Berkeley.
