The UC Transfer Admission Guarantee. It requires you to finish fall and spring classes with a C or better while maintaining a certain GPA and you’ll have a guaranteed admission. I unfortunately dropped my classes before I even knew I was accepted for the TAG agreement because of a family emergency. Now, they just reached out to me to explain my situation. Hopefully I still have a chance
:((
@animalscience1 You still have a chance! People get dropped from their TAGs (or don’t TAG at all) and can still get accepted. Here: https://www.universityofcalifornia.edu/infocenter/transfers-major it says just over 50% of transfers get accepted into animal science program! I’m guessing you’re applying for animal science based off your username
thank you for your kind words. I hope so! @90smix
You dropped all your classes? I mean, your gpa is still at 3.4 right? Or were those classes like prereqs?
My counselor and I actually reached out to UCD admissions before I dropped my two classes. The representative told me that it’d be better for me to drop and still apply than to receive a bad grade and lower my GPA.
I still have a 3.37 GPA and yes they’re my prerequisites. However, my major doesn’t require for the students to finish all prerequisites so thats really whats me helping right now.
When do decisions come out for transfers? They came out today for freshmen.
I’ve been wondering the same thing! In previous years decisions were out before picnic day, which fell on the 3rd Saturday of April. However, picnic day is on the 13th this year. Maybe decisions will be released a little early in comparison to prior years?
I was told late April off the UC website. It seems last years decisions came out third week of April
so we might get our decisions April 12 since its the day before picnic day?
What about for tag applicants?
TAG decisions were released November 15 if I remember correctly, mine was accepted that day. Are you asking if TAG applicants will get general decisions faster? I’d like to know that too lol
@animalscience1 when did you received email from them? that means they are reviewing TAG application. great news for now.
@fisher316 I received the email on 3/4/19 so at least we know they’re reviewing everything right now
Just got an email for UCD asking for a PDF of my unofficial transcripts. Anyone know what this means?
@jacobl17 No idea, maybe they want more info to review your application with?
@jacobl17 I got it on 2/5, but they required my previous school transcript. And I just upload it on the same day. Then never heard back from them.
They most likely just want to confirm your self-reported transcripts! I wouldn’t worry too much… it’s just how admissions work (@jacobl17)
Hey y’all! Does anyone know if being invited to apply for regents is a good indication of acceptance? I wonder if regents candidates might still get rejected ? Good luck to everyone btw!
@willowstil I would say that is a great indication!
Disclaimer: I’m not on the admissions staff. lol.
@kristinpete Lol thank you!
