Im actually angry lmao but its funny how we’ve all bonded over this stuff and can all agree uci is taking way too long for this.
Given that there is a pandemic going on, maybe we can have a little more compassion for people that may be working from home or in unfamiliar conditions for our benefit. I’m waiting too. Impatience and anticipation are understandable. Entitlement is not.
Ya know, I stopped checking this thread for a while. Came back to see two new pages opened up. Got excited bc I thought decisions were out but then got let down since it was mainly filled with people saying “Hopefully soon!” or “Nothing here” LOL rip

@maraccge Word. I’m sure the amplified anticipation is due to being confined to our homes for the most part. The stress is real lol. Just today, my neighbors who I assume don’t know how to cook keep producing this burning food odor every night and it just fills our residence for the entirety of the night. I realize it shouldn’t annoy me as much as it does but I shook a pillow as if it were a deranged lunatic who needed to be brought back to reality lol. Patience everyone, decisions will roll out soon.

Hey guys I thought I would share stats leading up to decisions coming out:
Major: Cell Biology/Molecular Biology
IGETC: Done
TAG: Davis-approved
GPA: 3.67 and hoping to end spring with a high 3.7 or low 3.8
I have a ton of EC:
-2 hospital internships in cardio, ICU, and trauma training through John Muir
- work with local high school to help students navigate through CC life after high school
-help organize a local blood drive with Red Cross for the past 6 years
-Tutoring middle schoolers in chem, bio and math
-helped set up a STEM program at my old elementary school for girls
-I also tutor at my CC
-VP of biology club at my CC
-Honors Program
-Have volunteered in hospitals overseas during travel
Work: dental assistant - part time(2 years)
I don’t think HS EC are going to count, but:
-Varsity Track- Captain
-Varsity Volleyball
-Random Positions in: Red Cross, MUN, Mock Trial-1st place in journalism, HOSA
-Coordinated MADD seminar in HS
I do hope that they are safe and healthy. I can definitely understand if we come off as entitled to admission. I just think that if they are experiencing a pushback because of the pandemic, then they can send out an email saying so. I know they gave us a wide range of when decisions are sent out, but I don’t like being left in the dark when it comes to my future /:
