Omg yes, it’s also not fair to regular applicants that we have to wait twice as long now since TAG got delayed basically. They should just release everyone in a mix honestly.
I talked to an admissions counselor about this. He said that they read essays (especially if they have to decide between multiple similar applicants) but it won’t save your application
Does anyone know if UCI always considers the alternate major when processing applications before rejecting you or how that works?
Since you changed majors, were you actually able to complete all the business and math classes needed? If not, I think that’s the biggest problem that u would have. Idk how they would look at ur gpa tho.

Does this apply to TAG for Psych BA majors? The Psychology major according to Assist.org and my counselors is that the requirements for transfer are more recommended courses and completion of all of the courses is not necessary to be accepted. But this is an uncommon case because most majors require the completion of lower division classes. For example, calculus, stats, and accounting are absolutely necessary to transfer to UCI. But for psych there is not course that is required to transfer.

I’ve lowkey given up on being hopeful for decisions. If I see a lot of y’all posting about getting in or not, then I shall check. Until then, I’m pretending UCI doesn’t exist.
