At a young age I always remembered being amazed and fascinated by technology. Only being 9 years old and questioning my surroundings and demanding answers or reasoning, for how my TV is on? What makes it light up?, and how is it made? As I started to learn more in school I found out that my answers lied in math and science. Since a small age I always knew that my career was going to major in math and science. I always wanted my career to give me a name that had a ring to it like Dr. Garcia, it sounded awesome. The best thing is math and science came naturally to me.
I grew up with in large Mexican family in Los Angeles. My family members were mainly musicians. Growing up I would remember them singing to me and handing me instruments, trying to influence me to find my area in music, they all wanted me to become a musician or singer. The funny thing is instead of finding an interest in music I found an interest in technology, its probably because I would waste most of my day watching cartoons or playing video games when I was young. With that interest I started learning about the technology I used. I would start to realize my batteries were positive and negative, my video games were computer chips, and all these little observations made want to find answers to how this technology was made.
As I keep going up grade level the subjects just kept expanding and opening my mind up to more answers and it really did amaze me. I always wanted to elevate my level in math and science because I knew it something I enjoyed and it would only prepare me for the next level of science or math. Being in middle school I would remember doing math problems for fun, they were like little puzzles for me. As the subject got more complex I stared realizing math and science go hand on hand and having teachers in school and seeing my interest in there class, they always asked me to help the other students which motivated me to keep excelling and challenging myself in math and science. I took that inspiration with me to high school and applied it, no matter the problems that got in my way.
