Santa Cruz claims they send out denials at the same time as the acceptances. Has anyone been denied yet? I fail to see that this is an accurate claim by them.

I am an out of state student at a California CC waiting to hear back, but am still unclear how the GPA works out here. When y’all are posting your GPA’s, are these UC transferable GPA’s? I have about a 3.6-3.8 UC transferable GPA, but closer to a 3.2 cumulative GPA because of a horrible first semester due to medical problems at another four year university. Was wondering if they consider the UC GPA more than the cumulative? Psychology major.

How did you jump from a 2.46 to a 3.49 in a semester? How many units did you take last semester?
@starkali It’s possible that they got Academic Renewal for several failing grades they received in the past.
Awwww now I’m getting nervous. I’m an Anthro major. Still nothing.
Gpa: 3.45 combo of ccc and a uni for one year.
Didn’t mean to send that yet.
My ccc gpa without the previous uni is a 3.8. The uni was 7 years ago.
Applied: ucb, ucla, ucd, ucsd, ucsb, ucsc
Accepted: ucsb
Waiting on the rest.
Now that I know someone is in at ucsc for Anthro im a little worried.

@starkali I did it over the course of fall and winter. Retook 4 Failed classes, got all A’s, 12 units total. Then in winter, I took another 3 unit class and raised it up from 3.46 to 3.49

@solagish Your stats look excellent. You have a significantly higher GPA than me. UCSC has a very high transfer admit rate. I would not be worried if I were you! In fact, I’m still waiting on UCSB. If you got in there, I’m sure you’ll make it in to Santa Cruz.
