The breakfast invite came to my email as well. Only a decision was in the portal @chlotaylor
@Not2cool4school its an extremely slow roll. But as you said maybe you’ll hear tomorrow or sometime this week. I wish you luck and hope you get in!
@tatianaf thanks! I’m not too worried, I’ve been admitted to UCSB and did TAG for Davis. But I also like Santa Cruz, so if I get admitted it would be an option.
@123vgabc It doesn’t seem as if any CS majors were admitted yet (in this forum).
@tinedancer my daughter ended up getting an email last night regarding financial aid so she checked her portal and her aid package was there. It hadn’t been there earlier in the day.
I got accepted near the end of March and just got my finaid package as well. It’s a fatty. They gave me more than I was expecting for my parents income bracket.
@tinedancer is it better compared to other schools you got into? I got better aid from ucsb than ucr. Im curious how ucsc will be.
@TatianaF So far I have only been accepted to UCSC, I’m waiting on UCSD, UCSB, and Davis. Already got into Davis through the tag but waiting on my official letter. It will be interesting to see my other aid offers.
Does anyone know if they notify Regents with the finaid package or seperataly? I got a 6k university grand from UCSC but it doesn’t say anything about Regents. I was hoping for it

They do offer it; applicants are automatically considered, so there’s no separate application like there is for UCD.
@willowstil I know it’s not a separate application like Davis, I’m just wondering if it’s a separate notification from your finaid package, because my finaid package doesn’t say anything about it /:
@tinedancer Oh I was responding to someone else with a different question. But according to the site I posted, it says that UCSC will send out Regents notifications in mid-May.
@willowstil Oh sorry. I ended up calling to ask, and they said any Regents offers will show up on your finaid package and that letters were already sent out.
Here’s to hoping I get it at Davis!
@tinedancer Good luck!
@tinedancer Did UC Davis say that letters were sent in the mail for Regents?
@spiritualgift No UCSC told me that. I called them because I got my finaid package from them, but no regents notification and I just wanted to ask if maybe they came seperetely but they don’t. The guy I talked to said regents will be posted on your finaid package and that letters for it already went out.
I just was saying that I hope I get regents at Davis because I did not at SC
I asked my teen to check their financial aid status and they noticed that there was a request to allow UC Santa Cruz to use any scholarship money to pay for school fees, so they agreed to it, and now it says that there no financial information available yet so not sure if this was the holdup. They were accepted on 3/20.
Just got my acceptance notice!
Major: Politics/ Political Science
GPA: 3.65
Applied: UCSC, UCB, AND UCSB
Denied: UCSB, but i sent my appeal lol
also does anyone know why under my aid it says $0? does it just take some time to estimate it?
also i got the email about Anaheim a couple days before my acceptance notice… so theres that
Anyone still waiting on financial aid: It appears that filling out the agreement (comment #295) that UC Santa Cruz could pay fees with grants was the hold up to receiving financial aid package. My teen filled out the form last night and received financial aid info today.
Just got accepted! Got an email about joining the facebook page and logged in to see I’d been accepted. Looks like the email was sent out at 5:05am.
Major: Computer Science and Game Design
Overall GPA: 2.98
UC Transferrable GPA: 3.4
Applied: UCSC, UCSB, UCD, UCSD, CSULB, CSUC, Cal Poly, CSUS
Accepted: UCSC, CSUC, CSUS

I submitted a TAG, but I had over 90 credits so I’m not sure whether I qualified. The acceptance post doesn’t say anything about TAG, which makes me think I didn’t get it. I did apply last year, though, and was accepted but not to the school of engineering (was taking two of the required major prep classes that spring), so I could only get a non-select major so the closest I could have gotten was a bachelors in math. I’m honestly surprised to see I got in especially toward the beginning of April, considering I don’t really have any EC or much work experience after high school (graduated 2013). I also don’t have a very high GPA. I did, however, have an impressively bad first couple semesters of college and did a lot better afterward, so they may have taken that more into consideration. I’ve gotten straight A’s with one or two B’s the last three semesters with heavy workloads. So, there’s hope to y’all out there with lower GPA’s but have improved recently!
