i cant decide whether i should to sb or davis. Can someone give me an insight?
I hear sb is a party school, but so is any other college. what im looking for is a a college that has some what of a social scene but most importantly a class of motivated people; can i find this in sb? or would davis suit me better?
do either of these schools have a city feeling or are they both college towns?
thanks
which school has a better econ program?

Depending on the major, UCSB students work hard and party hard. Neither school has a city feeling, though Davis is close to Sacramento so that might be something. The city of Santa Barbara is more of a tourist attraction sort of place than a big city.
Can't comment on the econ program, as I'm a science major.

Best bet is to just visit both and see which one strikes you as nicer. You really can't lose either way.

same situation here econ at ..ucsb or ucd.????
dont know

for econ I'd go to sb. They have a really good program with 2 nobel prize proffesors (in that department alone)
