UCF Accepted 2014 (Official)

Congrats brittanybp!!! Welcome to the club!!

I just received my letter in the mail. Its official!

Me too celeste95! :D

Accepted!! Just found out on MyUCF! Do we find out about scholarships through our acceptance letter, or through MyUCF?

COngrats all who got accepted! I am still waiting. I applied on Sep 22nd. How long did the process take for you guys? really tense about it all.

Hi Everyone,

I just found out today I got in !!! So excited.
For others
I applied 9.16.13 and just heard back today 10-7.13 (I know how hard it is to wait).
I do have a question for everyone though. I got accepted for summer semester, is that good or bad?
I have a 4.2 weighted GPA per UCF with a 24 ACT. I retake this at the end of October. All courses for the most part have been either honors, Ap or dual enrolled, except for required H.S. courses. I am on NHS. I also co-op for Dow Chemical, Dance and normal Ext. C.
I am OOS too.
So now I am a little worried that if I did not get in for Fall 2014 they may not offer me a scholarship for oos tuition.
I know my ACT needs to get up and I am thinking this might be the determining factor.
Any suggestions?

Hey everybody! I’m new to this post but I’ve been reading it and keeping up with everyone. Congrats to everyone that got accepted! It really is an amazing school. I sent in my application about a month ago and have since been waiting on score reports and transcripts to be sent. I applied for Fall 2014. Here are my stats:
ACT English - 30
ACT Math - 24
ACT Reading - 32
ACT Science - 28
Composite Score with Writing: 29
GPA (weighted): 3.6
GPA (unweighted): 3.0
About three or four clubs in HS
One AP exam, but many AP classes.
All Honors, AP, or Dual Enrollment classes.
60+ Community Service Hours
National Honor Society

What do you guys think? Did most of you who got accepted for Summer 2014 actually apply for Fall? or did you want Summer 2014? I just received my ACT scores this morning since I took it September 21st. So now comes the dreaded wait until I get a decision from UCF!

Hi jtkjackie,

I applied for Fall 2014, but received summer. I think you have a chance for fall. While I think your GPA is good, they may want this higher just from what I have seen in past, but the good news is your ACT is good, so that may be enough to get you fall. My GPA is good, but my ACT was only 24 so I think this is why I was offered summer. I am retesting at end of Oct so will let you know if that makes a difference. Best of luck to you !!!

Thank you! And your ACT score isn’t too bad, but I know they’re average is a 28. From what I’ve seen, when you have at least a 26 you’re good to go. And my GPA is what I’m worried about too, but I should have all As by the end of the first semester of my senior year, so that should bring it up some. I’m surprised at how fast they are sending out decisions! Hopefully I’ll get mine soon :)

Accepted to Fall 2014 yesterday!

@gabbys95, what were your stats? congratulations!

Congrats to all the new admits! Now you can relax (but keep those grades up) and enjoy your senior year! Lots of kids won’t know where they’re going until next spring!

Alisoneilf, acceptance for summer or fall=good!! You will be a pro by the time everyone moves in for fall. As for scholarship opportunities, call financial aid
they are soooo nice and helpful!

Hello colcon2010,

Thank-you for your reply. Much appreciated !!! I have called admissions and they told me to email the scholarship board which I have. They cannot give any info out over the phone so I was wondering if anyone has experience with what stats it may take to get a Knights scholarship. I am OOS and in order to come here I will need this. I realize I will still have loans, but this would make or break the deal for me coming here. Like I posted earlier I am set to retake the ACT at end of Oct, but not sure if a 3.6 GPA H.S. weighted (not UCF) or 26-27 ACT score I am hoping to get or better would do this for me. My Senior end of semester grades will be submitted in Nov and I know this will raise my GPA as I have all A’s right now with a dual enrollment course also. I know my UCF gpa is > than 3.6, but not exactly sure what it is as they will not tell me due to being OOS. I think it is around 4.2 when I configured it based on their criteria. I am hoping someone on here has received this in past and may know something about receiving this. My hope is to work for Walt Disney some day in Finance and this school is perfect for me. Thank-you to all who reply.

accepted! :stuck_out_tongue:
I don’t think I’ll end up here though.

I have a 1650 SAT
570 - w
570 - r
510 - m
And have yet to take the ACT’s, will be doing so in October.
I have a 4.0/5.0 GPA.
Do I have any chance at all?
I just got accepted to FAU and see that their acceptance rate is 39% while UCF’s is about 44%, and they accepted me without even having my ACT’s.
Does this mean anything?

Congrats!!!

I have a question.

So currently I only have 89 community service hours, and i plan to get more.
I already applied, and I should be sending my transcript tomorrow.
How do I send my extra community service hours that I earned?

You can contact the admissions office to have your app updated. However, I don’t think a few more community service hours will make that much of a difference (though you do need them for Bright Futures!).

Oh okay thank you
And I know it doesn’t make so much of a difference, but I mean 100+ hours look better than 89 xD

Accepted. ACT 34 Weighted GPA 4.5 Applied October 7. Accepted October 11. Good luck to all who want to become a Knight!!
