Dangerous things happen in dangerous neighborhoods. You have to take the proper precautions.

donjuan, do you think yale suffers because potential students are apprehensive of the high crime rate in new haven? i think not.

Chicago updated the transfer page.

Last year they admitted 77 applicants out of over 650. That's an 11.8% accept rate. Dismal.

im just curious, but did you guys not hear about the shooting at Uchicago? you guys still wanna go there?
[/quote]
Yes we all heard. Tragic but it's part of city living.

wow, it dropped to less than half. It seems to be because they had more applicants than they admitted more students though.

Oh well, I've done everything I can to present myself in the best light for Uchicago, if I don't get in I'll be disappointed but I think we should all realize how competitive admissions are here.

Did anyone use a paper application?

How do we check our credentials?

nope.

Libby said they should have credential checking up soon; of course that was like a week ago.

EAers --

Anybody really nervous? According to last year's thread, we hear back in less than a month (~April 20th).

Actually credentials are up today. I applied on paper and can't access mine--aggravating.

sweet, I just checked the blog earlier today too before that was posted. All my stuff is in!

All my credentials are in and yes, I am extremely nervous. I know that I have a very slim chance of getting accepted but at the same time I can't think of any other school I'd rather be at. I'm probably going to freak out whenever decisions are finally posted lol.

Yay! All my paperwork is in order. Now I wait for my rejection letter. sigh

My admissions counselor has been changed. Is it just me?
Has anyone received emails regarding your admissions credentials?

Nope, mine is fine. I didn't receive an e-mail but apparently all my stuff was in so that might be why.

Reading some of your other posts it seems that you are an international student. That explains why your counselor changed, they probably stuck you with someone who handles internationals.

I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck!

i am an international student too, but my counselor did not change...

do u guys feel nervous these days as admission will come out soon... I am almost crazy...

yeah, I've been freaking out, checking the blog 2-3 times a day and lurking on here when not in class. I know it's not healthy, especially since we still have over two weeks left but I'm trying to keep busy at the same time.

yeah...the same as u
checking email 5-6times a day, blog 3-4times a day, keep checking here when no class...I only want to get into Uchi...it's my dream school...
these days r really suffering...

you wanna know whats unhealthy? these boards!!

I concur donjuan ;)

Someone=Dean of Admissions
