I got deferred. Sigh, it might be for the best. Over the last couple of months, I've been losing interest in the school and my parents don't want me to go there (too expensive). Oh well, we'll see.

That's too bad! Maybe it was for the best, you know? Still, a deferral is not the end of the world...but I guess that's easy for me to say.

OK, I guess I should post my stats. I was accepted EA. I am EXTREMELY excited, as some of you might have noted from my earlier posts. Good luck to everyone!

stats please people, when you get a chance! i know you're excited, but the rest of us who have to wait till monday would like to get a feel of where we stand! :)

gah i'm not going to be able to sleep till i have my decision!

Bendrum, if I get in, we have to be friends. We can read the New York Times magazine together and watch The Graduate. :) Actually, I want to be friends with everyone here. And on the blog. And Libby.

I bet they are sick of people calling and e-mailing them about decisions like Bart and Lisa Simpson saying "Will you take us to Mt. Splashmore? Will you take us to Mt. Splashmore?"

Hahahahaahaha I know exactly what you are talking about. Is anyone else paranoid about their essay topic? If I don't get in, it'll be because of that. How nerve-wracking....

write-
YES! Have you gotten around to reading the Ideas issue of NYT mag?? And, ya, I think this calls for a viewing of The Graduate. I want to meet you too if you get in! And everyone else for that matter!!

As for my stats, well, all I can conclude is that Chicago REALLY means it when they say they don't care about scores!

Your scores were probably good. I'm sure Chicago doesn't accept people with, say 1600's or 23's. I think the toughest part about the University of Chicago application is the essay. Talk about eccentric prompts. I suppose this eliminates essay 'recycling' though.
