For my “why uchicago” i wrote about my interest in “kale biology” and how eccentricity=authenticity and idk it was kinda too long but I’m really proud of it
and for my other i chose the “don’t play whats there, play whats not there” prompt from a couple of years ago and talked about how our focus is often on living in a way that is not dying, when we need to start “playing what’s not there” and expressing our unique qualities and idrk how to explain it was really philosophical

i got a c in ap chemistry during my sophomore year – other than that, all of my grades are a’s and b’s. would that c have ruined my chances? like my testing scores are good (1540 sat one sitting, 1550 superscored) and i think my essays were good, although idk how good bc im reading about what others wrote and now my essays don’t seem like they are anything extraordinary. so, knowing this, would that one grade significantly affect my college chances?
My son got that too; if he gets rejected the post card is psycho and abusive. There is enough stress without that little nugget.
For those accepted, wait for the swag bag arriving after your deposit.
