@nicolasdeadman I’m in exactly the same situation as you, and I’m really nervous about Friday. UChicago is my top choice school and I got deferred EA so I am growing more and more anxious by the minute.
@Hirzli2 honestly such a relief that there’s someone else in this boat. This was my first decision from a reach school of mine and a rejection at that, so I’m feeling really discouraged about UChicago, Stanford, HYP, Columbia and Dartmouth. I feel like we just have to keep in mind that not all schools look for the same thing and that hopefully at least one will see something in us. I’m absolutely in love with UChicago though so that 2% figure is really getting to me
Keep in mind, a lot of unqualified applicants apply RD to reach schools. So the 2% acceptance rate isn’t as bad as it sounds. I personally know one person who applied RD and has no chance of getting in (having multiple Ds and such).

I’m honestly not expecting anything from this decision. Since I’ve applied I’ve kind of realized that Chicago isn’t exactly the school for me. I live in Wisconsin, so UChicago is a really respected school and everybody talks about it, but I just don’t think it’s my vibe.
@wannagotovandy I live in Wisconsin as well. In fact, I’ve been talking to you on the Madison thread. Lol. I’ve decided that UChicago is really nice and all, but I don’t think that I’d really feel at home there.
@nicolasdeadman I was rejected from MIT yesterday too, and it wasn’t fun, but with schools as renown as MIT there are so many factors at play out of your control as well as a certain level of politics involved. Getting into competitive schools these days is genuinely not based on merit alone, and so I really have no expectations for most of the schools I applied to. Good luck to all tomorrow!

they came out 5:00 pm est for EA
I was pretty heartbroken when I was rejected by UChicago EDII but I got into MIT yesterday !! Made me believe that things happen for a reason after all. 
Just got waitlisted for Williams, and we’re officially in the final 24 hours. I am really feeling the anxiety now, I talked to my AO a lot over the past few months and I hope that I’ve expressed enough of my interest and desire to attend. Tomorrow’s going to be a rough one, folks.
I live in a far far away place and I don’t even have an AO :.) life sucks…
but… we are all an awesome bunch of kids… we will change the world, make things happen, do magic, whether we get into our dream schools or not… so smile guys and do not worry, there is something waiting for you out there and it’s beautiful!
