<p>I was admitted into UCI for School of Social Sciences and UCSD for Thurgood Marshall.</p>
<p>I am definitely majoring in a social science- psych, socio, philo, poli sci, or something of the sort.</p>
<p>I am very torn on this whole thing. One day I am 100% feeling for UCI, the next our I am 100% feeling for UCSD.</p>
<p>I don't care about prestige of UCSD over UCI.
I want to get into law school and so I want to know which of the two schools is it better to attend to get a higher GPA while majoring in the social sciences.
Getting a high GPA IS VERY IMPORTANT TO ME (this is the reason why i'm turning down berkeley and ucla, for easier competition at uci or ucsd).</p>
<p>So considering that I want to law school and major in a social science (psych, socio, philo, poli sci, or something of the sort) and graduate with the highest GPA possible, which school should I attend? UCI or UCSD?</p>
<p>UCI is a good school and in my opinion, it will be easier to get a high GPA.</p>
<p>The new chancellor of UCI - chancellor Drake, is pushing very hard to have a law school at UCI in the very near future. I might even guess that it might happen within the next 3-5 years.</p>

<p>UCI was supposed to have a law school by now, but the original plan called for a larger law school but was scrapped during some tough budget times. Now I think they scaled back the size and I think it will happen this time. If you are dead-set on going to law school, choosing an undergraduate school that is planning to have a law school, might be some advantage to you.</p>
<p>But again, the law school at UCI hasn't happened yet, so I wouldn't count on it - 100%, but it is looking good.</p>
<p>^ hell yeah! Dude that would rock! I really hope it happens in 4 years when I graduate... crossing my fingers.</p>
<p>Regarding law school - yes, I think it will happen.</p>
<p>Speaking of grad programs, all of you anteaters might be interested to know that UCI's Business school shot up the rankings, 11 spots to #38. This is a huge increase and while it is a grad program, it does help bring prestige to the campus overall. UCI's B-school is still so very young, and it leapfrogged over UC Davis's program with ease.</p>

<p>wow.. uci is becoming a lot more attractive to me. ahh suck a hard decision...</p>
