UCI Psychology Major Requirements

Hello I want to transfer to UCI what is the highest level math do you have to take for psychology major?

Stats and cal or one year of stats

•Have a cumulative UC transferable GPA of 3.0
•Complete courses in calculus equivalent to UC Irvine’s MATH 2A and MATH 2B with a grade of 2.5 or better
•Complete one course in statistics equivalent to UC Irvine’s STATS 7 with a grade of 2.5 or better
•Complete courses in psychology equivalent to UC Irvine’s PSYCH 9A-B-C with a grade of 2.5 or better
•Complete one course in introduction to computer programming equivalent to UC Irvine’s I&C SCI 31 with a grade of 2.5 or better

Students majoring in Cognitive Sciences must select a concentration within the major. The choice of concentration has implications for choosing particular prerequisite courses outside of the major as well as the core courses and electives. The concentrations are:

  1. Cognitive Neuroscience
  2. Experimental Psychology - Sensation, Perception, Attention & Memory
  3. Language Science
  4. Computational Cognitive Science

The Psychology program at UCI is split into Cognitive Science and Psychology & Social Behavior. You need calc and stats for Cognitive Science and only stats for PSB. I’m a PSB major.
