Do you even read what the posts are even about??? I’d assume “this invitation” was referring to the UCLA Alumni Association Scholarship. Stop spamming please ,_,

Does anyone know if this invitation to apply is the same like the Berkeley Alumni Scholarship where basically all applicants get the email?

Neither me nor any of my friends got this (some with very competitive stats).

I agree with You SeeLuckyAce. Read the posts and quit spamming.

@AceAites From what I understand, for the UCLA Alumni Scholarships, the private organization sends out e-mails to as many applicants as they can that they think would do well in winning their organizations scholarship. For the Berkeley, I believe all you needed was a 3.5 unweighted, so just about anyone can receive that e-mail, with no specific bearing towards admissions. Also, you can apply regardless of receiving the 'invitation to apply to any of these scholarships.
My source was from MsSun

good lord.

and yes youseeluckyace is right

All applicants do not get the email. They are given to students that they want to attract and entice as recipients to choose UCLA over their many other stellar choices. The process is underway and all the applicants are more than qualified, now it is a matter of who will add value, leadership, involvement to the school as a recipient!

@wherenext, do you know when the interviews will be released?

wait I got the UC Berkeley one and you already calculated my GPA, YouSeeLuckyAce. ;)

What about the UCLA one? Could anyone apply for that one too?
