I am a Philosophy major and I just wanted to know what some minimum gpa's some of you had to get accepted to UCLA (without TAP) and UCSD (without TAG). I know philosophy is non-impacted so it is easier to get in than most majors. I also know that UCSD does not admit by major. For UCSD, as long as you have over a 3.0 do you have a shot?

UCLA’s avg phil gpa was a 3.49 last year. I dont know about UCSD, but i would think itd be a lil lower than that

UCSD does not admit by major unless it’s impacted, so it’s 3.5 for UCSD. By the way, I had this clarified not only by a counselor at my school, but also at UCSD by a representative. Also, UCSD does not read personal statements, so just try to do the best that you can.

go lakers!

check out statfinder.com (i really have to learn how to make one of those link things). It will answer all of you statistical questions about admissions to UCs.

And why won’t you have tag? tis pretty easy to get.
