qwerasdf,

It's people like you that give Cal students a bad name. As of now, I'm 80% sure that I'm going to Cal, but having been raised a dedicated UCLA fan, that other 20% is still a possibility. I don't see why you need to bash UCLA seeing as how it is the top university in Southern California (I will NEVER say hella) and reflects on the UC system as a whole. It has as big, if not a bigger name among laypeople-why else do people think Cal stole Sons of Westwood from UCLA? Luckily, I recently visited Cal, and the students there aren't flaming TTTs like you. Why aren't you flaming Stanfurd or U$C instead...

Hey now, let's not redirect antagonism. And Caltech is SoCal's best school.

CalTech may be SoCal's best technical institute, but as far as a complete university, UCLA is still on top (if it satisfies you USC isn't very far behind :)).

But we can all agree to bash on Stanford, right?

Haha, debatable, but coming from a UCLA student, I'll take it.

And Stanford? Who likes them and their perfect campus.

Actually, I live fairly close to Stanford and am on its campus frequently for research. I've never really found its campus to be especially beautiful. I do, however, love UCLA's

Stanford doesnt have a good campus, but they're research is top notch due to all the cashflow. If only the top UC's became privates, all would change.

i dont think you can peg Caltech or UCLA or USC (which some people cant spell right apparently) as indefinetly being the overall best school, seeing as each of them provide reasons to go to them over others depending on what you want to do.

for instance, i really like the UCLA campus, i may even move near the hills for my senior year, but for the programs i'm in, SC was the absolute best choice. I think they all share a piece of certain pies.........not sure where SD fits into that equation, i dont think it necesarily sits on the same pillars as the former top tier mentionables, but it has its merits, i think someone mentioned what they were.
