UCLA housing

Hi everyone, I encountered some problems when applying UCLA housing and really need your help.

I just received an e-mail told from UCLA told me I should update my housing application because I chose one ( res halls and double room shared bathroom) instead of making preference.

So here are some of my questions.
1)What's the difference between double room shared bathroom and two occupants? Especially for halls, they just have a communal bathroom in one floor.

2) Since there would be an order from my first choice to the last. I just want to know do freshmen always get their first choice building? My first choice is res hall.

Thanks again!

Double room shared bath
A Double Room Shared Bath describes the layout of a Plaza room.
In addition to sharing your room with 1 other person (double room), you will share a bathroom with the adjacent room (shared bath). You will have less privacy, and will be able to walk into the other room through the connected shared bathroom lying between the rooms.

Two Occupants
In a Plaza, you will share your room with 1 other person, and will have a private bath that does not connect to another room.
Alternatively, I can see this as describing a double in a Residential Hall.

I do not know.
