Hey guys I have been accepted to UCI UCSB and UCSD however UCLA is my top choice. I checked on my application for UCI and it said I need to maintain a 2.7 and complete my english 102 course with a C or higher. Do you think it will be the same or similar too UCLA?

I believe it is 3.0 for LA and Berkeley.
But it really depends. People have maintained a 3.0, received a C in a course, and have been rescinded. Best bet is to just try to keep it as high as you can.

Rescinded for getting a C?!!

^I’m assuming the C was in a pre-req course and/or the major is impacted.

Probably.

Maybe.

Yeah, I know a few kids who were rescinded after getting a C in their pre-req courses. One of the kids appealed and was readmitted to UCLA (I think because he was a TAP student, but I’m not sure; had to take the course over the summer), but they were all impacted majors (biz econ, communications, poli sci). They worked so hard and blew it their last semester. What a shame…

for a C?? ****t i got a C+
I called ucla and they said i can get a C and still be admitted!!

are the courses listed in the IGETC considered PRE REQS? or just the ones on assist.org?

why risk it? get your b and move on

it’s because this teacher is a NAZI! and he enjoys it. its an english honors class and there are 12 people in the class right now. We started the semester with 35… there’s obviously something wrong with this teacher. This class is harder then my pre med classes!

Whenever I’ve had a Nazi teacher, I made efforts to visit his office hours and kind of (as in really) suck up. HAHA. It always worked for me…

But yes, you are right. IGETC is not pre-req. The courses listed on Assist are.
