Waiting for COE CS… anyone get in for engineering yet? This is getting ridiculous
Idk if this makes a difference, but I called and they said that they weren’t going by major.

Really? I called them yesterday and although the lady didn’t specifically say it, but she did seem to strongly imply that they were admitting waitlisted students based on how SIR’d to a certain major. Especially when I inquired whether it could be noted that I’m willing to be admitted to the college of letters & science (she told me that they cannot accommodate major changes at this time).
Maybe they just admit by college? Might be why we haven’t seen any engineering majors off the waitlist yet. Also, a bunch of kids got off the Berkeley waitlist yesterday and might’ve turned a few converts. That could’ve freed up some space too hopefully.
@graceunderfire Do you think that there’s a chance that there’s really no space for waitlisted students in the college of engineering?
I have not received a notification yet. Does this mean my chances of getting off the waitlist are lower?

Yes they did, which is surprising because the last batch still has until Friday to respond

so i hear and have been researching a lot about the waitlist decisions. i see that the reason they are accepting so many people off waitlist is because of the budget accepted proposal and that they are now taking in more california students!! anyone have more info on this?? and how does rolling work??
