Thank you! I take it you didn’t get any numbers or stats about how many are left? Or did you get confirmation about the process with when the next cycle of admissions will be?

I was accepted yesterday at about 7am (I live in SoCal). They sent an email while I actually had my email open, and it said something like “UCLA decision updated”.
In my wait-list acceptance letter I put in my first semester senior grades, I had 6 As and 1 B. I also included a short essay about some things that I was involved in this year/ events that I hosted and also talked about an award that I received from my high school.
I believe the wait-list acceptances come out every 3 days… after the initial wave of students accepts or declines their offer of admission.
Best of luck to those of you still waiting! Im sure you will all do amazing at the colleges you have been accepted to, and hopefully it will be LA :)

@wdremasters02 : Well that’s a bummer. I’m an international applicant and UCLA and GATech were the only places where I was waitlisted.
Guess I gotta go to UCSD then.

Just got an email at 5:09, rejected :’( good luck to the rest of you.

Same here.

Yep, same here. Well it was at least having this community of waitlistees together. Thanks guys, and best of luck to all of you where you do go!

Yes she accepted. Wanted to stay closer and Berkeley was further away

I’m sorry guys. Hope you all enjoy yourselves no matter where you end up enrolling at.

@AskMsSun I have looked all over for UCLA wait list stats 2012 and followed your directions posted on another string but I can’t find: how many were offered admission and how many accepted. I believe 2900 were put on the wait list. Help:-)

Thank you AskMsSun!! Received your answer from livejournal and wanted to share here so others can see.

“Fall 2012, 4,600 waitlist offers went out; 2,900 students opted in; 482 were admitted; 288 SIR’ed. The information was obtained during the UC Counselor Conference presentation in September 2012.”

2120 sat and 4.3 gpa I’m right now committed to University of Chicago but in-state tuition and the proximity to home (San Diego) and the fact that it’s am amazing school have me checking my email for a response pretty regularly haha

I shall begin the first post for the 2015 WL decisions. I really hope I get in. UCLA = dream.
@stressed4lyfe I’m on the same boat! Have you sent in your 7000-character update thingy?
@graceunderfire yup submitted it a while ago. But i keep logging back on and making minor changes lol. I’m so paranoid.
Did anyone get off the waitlist already? My dad’s coworker’s son apparently did…is this even possible?
Is it advisable to write a short essay in the additional info part???
@prabhu1998 I did. It couldn’t hurt. Just don’t repeat anything that was in your original application.
Thanks @stressed4lyfe . I’m writing a short 150 word essay on why BME at UCLA seems great 4 me. U think that’s fine?
@prabhu1998 oh hey I applied for BioE too The limit is 7000 characters, which is about 1000 words. I would say writing a bit more wouldn’t hurt.
