UCONN Class of 2020 Decision Thread- for Storrs location

Honors and merit decisions come in a mailing.

My S got into Honors and received Academic Excellence Scholarship for $6500/yr. It came in the mail today. In state, ACT 35, GPA 4.76

@newyorksports98 Not 100 percent sure but it seems that way…

@GossamerWings I have that link on my portal. I have not received my letter in the mail yet but it should come tomorrow (half of my town got theirs today, I’m in the half that didn’t), I can follow up if it definitely means a scholarship.

My S was accepted into the Honors Program and received a STEM Academic Excellence Scholarship for $10,000/yr. We’re in state and also received the letter today.

D received her letter today - accepted into the Honors Program (which is called the “Honors Scholar” program I guess? Or are there variations of the program?) and a $6,500 annual “Academic Excellence” scholarship.

I’m kinda disappointed that UCONN doesn’t give scholarships with higher amounts for OOSers. I would have expected more money from them but at this point, i’m gonna stick with my #1 choice. Was only really considering UCONN as a cheaper alternative but it doesn’t really make a difference. oh well ;/

Does anybody else still have “It is important for you to check your application status frequently. Your admission decision will be posted here when it is available. Please allow a minimum of 4 weeks for a decision to be made on your file.” on their portal? :frowning:

My daughter just received her letter and was awarded a 15,000/yr. OOS scholarship to study animal sciences. @TLD1267 if you’re still following these messages, is there a way my daughter would be able to get in touch with your daughter to find out more about the pre vet program?

My son got his letter today and was awarded 18,000/yr. We are OOS.

@amm444 , @kdawn1130 did your children have the link on their portal to accept merit scholarship?

@bb0721 yes, my son had the scholarship link

I also received the letter OOS NY Honors college $18000/yr. It’s prob not enough for me to go there and it wasn’t on e of my top choices. I’ll wait to see if anything else comes with financial aid package I guess.

@kdawn1130 thanks. I had a feeling that was the case. My daughter hasn’t received her letter yet. She is willing to accept the offer of admission to the ACES program instead of nursing, but I would first like to see if there is a chance of any amount of money. I think it is unlikely, though. Congratulations to your son! From what I gather, that is a very generous award!

I don’t have the scholarship link on my portal. I think it is because I’m an international applicant and my SAT aren’t that great…

@bb0721 I haven’t checked the portal in a couple of days, but the scholarship link wasn’t there a few days ago and it’s there now. Good Luck.

Hi all- just a reminder to everyone that if for any reason you’ve decided to not accept a spot at UConn to please let them know once you’ve decided. Thanks everyone for supporting each other and best wishes to all with your decisions!

@amm444 Thanks, and Congratulations to your daughter!

My S got his letter today. Also a generous OOS scholarship and admitted to the Honors program.

Anyone from Florida/Miami accepted?
