Uc's a-g requirements

For UC’s it says that you cant make a grade lower than a c on their a-g courses but i made a d the first semester of algebra 2 and a c the next semester and they average out to a c for the year. Does this disqualify me from applying to any of the UC’s?

You would not be disqualified from applying.

The C in the second semester will validate the D in the first, but it certainly won’t do your overall GPA any favors,
which is one of the primary basis for admission…

You can also meet both algebra I and II requirements via SAT subject tests or AP tests, see http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/freshman/requirements/a-g-requirements/index.html

okay thx. Also, i already passed algebra 1 and 2 so need to worry about those.

UCs will still look at your freshman grades, but if the C and D were during freshman year, they won’t affect your UC gpa, which is calculated oddly (basically: 10th and 11th classes only, max of 8 weighted semesters, only APs count as weighted for OOS).
