UCSB Admission - Class of 2022

Is that your capped/weighted gpa? @whathaveidone5

It’s my capped UC gpa (with 8 semester honors)
@ticklesandprickles

@prideful I think UCSB is still a high match/low reach. The gpa and test scores will hopefully compensate for your lack of ECs

.

@whathaveidone5 Your gpa is pretty low, but with all of the factors UCSB considers you may still have a shot. I’d say UCSB is a low/medium reach

@psssthoy literally same. if it wasn’t holistic i’d be rejected right away

Chancing does nothing but either stress you out or potentially give you false hope at this point, try to relax guys, only a couple more days of pain :)))) UCLA was supposedly a “safety” for me based on multiple reputable opinions, and I got waitlisted.

Do I have a good chance if I was accepted to UCD ucla ucsd and slo ? I really want ucsb also would you guys pick ucla over ucsb? What are your thoughts

@bbgirl00 If you’re looking for prestige I’d say go with UCLA. However, I personally like the atmosphere at UCSB way better. Based on what I’ve seen UCSB weighs ECs higher than most of the other UCs, but I think you have a great shot

@hanoverboard Let us stress out it peace please

Edit: That sucks I’m sorry man

will They consider that I’m math major? Or just the L&S college

I think you have a low to medium chance with a high to low reach and a strong probability!!

@ticklesandprickles I think you have a low to medium chance with a high to low reach and a strong probability!!

Is there anyone who applies for undeclared major in college of letters and science? What are your SAT/ACT and GPA?

@rsy1999 I applied undeclared college of letters and science! but my stats are super low haha it’s such a long shot! 3.9 gpa and 1170 sat. decent amount of EC’s varsity volleyball captain, went to africa to bring shoes to an orphanage, volunteer at a pre school, founder of special ed. prom at my school! decent personal statements and worked 3 jobs throughout hs ! ucsb was always just a dream school so I thought I might as well apply!

@nm4017 Are you IS or OOS? If you are IS I believe you have a high chance of getting in!

If I got into UCSD as an out-of-state applicant, how likely is it that I will get into UCSB?

@malskcmefsdf Very likely, as UCSD is more selective than UCSB.

Cute poem when you try to log in the UCSB portal this morning (though a word is missing). Portal down through 3pm tomorrow. Good luck, everyone!

@rsy1999 I am in stage!! does that help my chances ??
